In the late evening hours of a Tuesday in Augusta, Georgia, the life of 15-year-old Juanya Holliman, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 1, 2023, violence erupted at the Good Hope Baptist Church on East Cedar Street, forever altering the lives of two families. Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the church at 9:22 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
