In the late summer of 2023, the life of 31-year-old Delarance Jones, a Black male, was tragically cut short on a Saturday morning in Columbus, Georgia. On August 26th, police responded to a call in the 2900 block of Colorado Street to find Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services were unable to resuscitate him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
