Maurice Talbot, a 20-year-old African American male from Columbus, GA, tragically lost his life on March 4, 2021. Maurice was shot on North Lake Parkway and was pronounced dead at Piedmont Northside Emergency Room at 10:40 p.m. that night. The incident occurred in the evening, and multiple police units responded to the scene, cordoning off the area to conduct their investigation. Despite the prompt response, Maurice succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
