On September 16, 2023, 29-year-old Kendrez Raashun Mayweather was fatally shot in Sparta, Georgia. Authorities identified Laterious Womble as the suspect, who was subsequently indicted by a Hancock County grand jury on charges including malice murder, felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
