On November 28, 2023, Prishanda Gemisha Colbert, a 40-year-old store clerk, was fatally shot during an apparent armed robbery at the Pleezing Food Store located on Highway 80 West in Crawford County, Georgia. The incident occurred around 5:48 p.m. when Colbert was found unresponsive outside the store with a gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Randall Pate pronounced her dead at the scene.
