Makel Jones, a 19-year-old from Augusta, Georgia, was fatally shot on April 1, 2024. The incident occurred just before midnight on the 2000 block of Bolt Drive. Jones was rushed to Wellstar MCG, where he was pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m. the following day, according to Coroner Mark Bowen.
