Devante Green, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 13, 2019, in Augusta, Georgia. Devante was shot at least once in the 2100 block of Lumpkin Road and was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding his death were initially unclear, but it was later revealed that he was involved in a meeting set up by Michael Lamont Williams, a 20-year-old man who was out on bond for six counts of aggravated assault at the time.
