Andrew Jackson, a 77-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Columbus, Georgia, on April 27, 2024, in what unfolded as a sudden and deadly evening shooting along Victory Drive. Reports said gunfire erupted around 7 p.m. in the parking lot of a smoke shop in the 4300 block of Victory Drive. First responders were called to the scene, and Jackson was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said he was pronounced dead at 7:55 p.m. His killing was described in ...
