Kendarrius Jarnard Spear, a 19-year-old Black male from the Lithonia area, was killed on the night of June 25, 2024, in DeKalb County after police were called to the 5900 block of Sutcliffe Square and found him on a sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. What emerged afterward was the picture of a young man whose death struck hard beyond the crime scene itself.
