On a summer evening in Augusta, Georgia, the life of 30-year-old Marc Whitehead, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On June 28, 2024, Whitehead was found deceased in the parking lot of DuraMed Medical Services on 15th Street. The cause of his death was determined to be gun violence, a grim reality that has impacted many in the community. His residence on Druid Park Avenue was located roughly half a mile from where his body was discovered.
