On July 25, 2024, 46-year-old Daylon Omanique Rainwater was fatally shot at a Chevron gas station on Morosgo Drive in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m., when officers arrived to find Rainwater unresponsive with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicated that Rainwater was involved in a dispute with a security guard at the location.
