Broderick Shovely III, 21, a Black male from Decatur, was killed on August 12, 2024, in a shooting inside a home on Emerald Lake Drive in DeKalb County. By the time police and emergency crews reached the house, he and his younger brother Santino Shovely had both been found in the basement with gunshot wounds.
