On October 2, 2024, in Decatur, Georgia, two-year-old Maeson Amari J'Von Labiran tragically died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after accessing an unsecured firearm in his home. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. on Shamrock Drive in the Candler-McAfee neighborhood. Emergency responders transported Maeson to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
