In the Candler-McAfee neighborhood of Decatur, Georgia, a tragic incident unfolded on the afternoon of October 2, 2024. Two-year-old Maeson Amari JVon Labiran, a Black male, was at his home on Shamrock Drive when he came across an unsecured firearm. Around 5:40 p.m., the young child picked up the weapon and accidentally shot himself in the head.
