In the autumn of 2024, the life of 15-year-old Devayn Earl Grissam was tragically cut short in Augusta, Georgia. On the evening of October 30th, the Black / African American male teenager found himself in a fatal exchange of gunfire on Helsinki Drive, a place miles from his own home on Boykin Road. It was during this violent encounter that Grissam sustained a gunshot wound to his torso. Despite being rushed to MCG Wellstar Health, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
