Anthony McGowan, a 27-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 13, 2018, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on East Boundary Street. McGowan was shot at least once and was subsequently transported to AU Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Another victim, 19-year-old Mikeem Jackson, also sustained a gunshot wound to his back and was treated at University Hospital.
