Death by Force

In the early evening of March 7, 2023, a burst of gunfire in the 2700 block of Bruce Place, Southeast, Washington, D.C., set in motion a tragic series of events that would leave two young men dead. When Seventh District officers arrived at the scene around 7:44 p.m., they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of them, 23-year-old Dana Faulkner, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
