On a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., violence shattered the quiet of the Carver/Langston area. On June 5, 2022, 31-year-old Martinez Johnson was fatally shot in the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast. The incident occurred around 9:03 a.m., when police responded to a report of a shooting.
