On the night of Friday, September 1, 2023, 19-year-old Mikeya Ferguson was fatally shot in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 11:56 p.m. in the 1300 block of 7th Street, Northwest. Ferguson was with her 15-year-old cousin, Lashani Scott, and a friend, 18-year-old Cle'shai Perry, when the shooting took place.
