On what was supposed to be an ordinary afternoon, 24-year-old Tyejuan Harkum, a male resident of Northeast, D.C., had plans to get a haircut and then secure a money order to help his mother with rent. Instead, his life was cut tragically short on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. In the 2600 block of Naylor Road SE, at approximately 3:53 p.m., Harkum was fatally shot.
