The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Malon Nurse of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The shooting occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Capitol Street, an area that suddenly transformed into a scene of violence and tragedy.
When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District arrived, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was located inside a business, while the other was found outside.
