On a late summer evening in Washington, D.C., violence shattered the quiet of a residential neighborhood, leaving a community in mourning. On Friday, September 6, 2024, 33-year-old Tanisha Morris was fatally shot inside a residence on the 1000 block of Spring Road, Northwest. The incident, which also left a man critically injured, is being investigated by the Metropolitan Police Department as a homicide.
