Robergeau, affectionately known as "JC" by his family and friends, was described as a charming, smart, and talented individual.
He had a passion for football and music, and his dream was to use one of these talents to help his family and improve their living situation. He was remembered for his respect and kindness, particularly by Bennie Blades, the president of the Western Tigers youth football organization, where Robergeau played football near Carter Park.
The family and community are deeply distraught over his death. Robergeau's aunt, DeAnne Cox, expressed her grief and shock, highlighting the pain of losing a young family member. She and the family are calling for an end to gun violence and demanding justice for Robergeau's death. The family believes in the justice system and is confident that the police will catch the person responsible.
A candlelight vigil was held at Joseph C. Carter Park to remember Robergeau. The vigil saw family, friends, and community members gather to pay their respects, many wearing red, Robergeau’s favorite color, and t-shirts with his name and picture. The event was filled with tears, hugs, and prayers as they said their final goodbyes.
As of the current date, the Fort Lauderdale Police have not provided any updates on the investigation or identified any suspects in connection with Robergeau's death. The case remains unsolved, and the family continues to seek answers and justice for the loss of their loved one.
