Arnold Person, a 44-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on May 8, 2019, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The incident occurred at the Blue Martini nightclub, where Person was celebrating the life of a recently deceased family friend. The celebration turned fatal when an altercation erupted inside the club just before midnight. During the altercation, shots were fired, and Person was struck multiple times, leading to his death at the scene.
