On April 9, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the Parramore area of Orlando, Florida, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including the suspect. Carole Fulmore, a 69-year-old woman, was one of the victims. She was the mother of the suspect's girlfriend.
The incident began when police responded to a domestic violence call at a home on the 600 block of Grand Street around 2:25 a.m. Upon arrival, officers heard gunshots coming from inside the house.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Lacorvis Tamar Daley, emerged from the home and shot at the officers, who returned fire, resulting in Daley's death.
Inside the home, police found three people with gunshot wounds: Carole Fulmore, 13-year-old Damionna Reed (the daughter of Daley's girlfriend), and 7-year-old Cameron Bouie (Daley's son). Fulmore and Reed were pronounced dead at the scene, while Bouie was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The events unfolded after Daley's girlfriend called 911 to report a disturbance at their home, following a call from her mother, Carole Fulmore, about the ongoing disturbance. A neighbor, Joanne Capel, reported receiving a text message from one of the victims asking for help, but she was unable to intervene in time.
The investigation into the incident involved the Orlando Police Department, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the State Attorney's Office. The officers involved in the shooting were placed on paid administrative leave as part of the protocol.
The community was deeply affected by the tragedy, with local officials and residents expressing grief and calling for addressing the underlying issues that lead to such violent incidents. A vigil and fundraising efforts were organized to support the families of the victims.
