Eloilda "Ellie" Padilla Shea, a 39-year-old lieutenant with the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Florida, was found dead on October 14, 2024, in the Rio Pinar area of Orlando. Initially, the death appeared to be a suicide, as her estranged husband, Anthony Shea, had called 911 and reported that she had taken her own life. However, an investigation by Orange County homicide detectives revealed that Ellie was actually shot and killed by her husband.
