Franyelin Annabel Pires Reyes was a 27-year-old Venezuelan woman whose life ended on April 6, 2026, inside a residence on Eaglesmere Drive in Orlando, Florida. Police responded around 1:38 p.m. after a shooting was reported at the home. When officers arrived, they found Franyelin suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency efforts were attempted, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case quickly unfolded as a domestic violence investigation.
Authorities identified the suspect as her husband, Himber Alexander Rivero Romero. According to reports, he was the person who called 911 after the shooting and remained at the residence until police arrived. He was taken into custody at the scene.
Investigators reported that Franyelin and Rivero Romero had recently separated, though they were still living in the same home. In the days before the shooting, conflict had reportedly grown between them after Franyelin began a new relationship. What had been an already strained domestic situation escalated into violence inside the home they had shared.
Rivero Romero was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Franyelin's death. He was booked into the Orange County Jail and was reported to be held without bond. Reports also stated that an immigration detainer was placed on him.
