Maria Isabel Perez, a 10-year-old girl from Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost her life on April 15, 1984, in what became known as the Palm Sunday Massacre. This horrific event took place at 1080 Liberty Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn, where ten people, including Maria, were brutally murdered.
