On January 13, 2024, Javares Williams, a 34-year-old man, was fatally shot in Miami Gardens, Florida. The incident occurred near Northwest 209 Terrace and 34 Court.

The shooting is part of a series of violent incidents in the area, which the Miami Gardens Police Department attributes to a "gang nexus." According to Chief Delma K. Noel-Pratt, the presence of various street gangs in and around Miami Gardens has been a significant factor in the recent surge in violence.
