Remembered by those who knew him for his sense of humor and storytelling abilities, he was an avid fan of Notre Dame athletics as well as the Chicago Bears and Bulls. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly fishing and grilling. He left behind a large family, including his mother, stepfather, and several children. A funeral service was arranged by St. Joseph Funeral Homes, and his family planned to hold a celebration of life at a later date to honor his memory.
