On July 8, 2024, at approximately 5:43 p.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) received a 911 call reporting an individual with gunshot wounds near the 5800 block of North Cameron Avenue in Tampa, Florida. Upon arrival, deputies found Juan Rafols, 53, with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Rafols was pronounced deceased at the scene.
