On July 25, 2024, deputies from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an unconscious person at 2724 Regatta Drive in Sarasota, Florida. Upon arrival, they found Edward James Dukes, 47, dead inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.
