On July 25, 2024, deputies from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an unconscious person at 2724 Regatta Drive in Sarasota, Florida. Upon arrival, they found Edward James Dukes, 47, dead inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.

The investigation into Dukes' death led detectives to identify two suspects: Damontae Montrell Tillery, 24, of Sarasota, and Karriem Jermaine McDowell Jr., 23, of Brooksville. Using various investigative methods, the sheriff’s de ...
