A Black / African American man, 37-year-old Baron Goulbourne, a male from Bridgeport, Connecticut, was fatally shot on the night of May 6, 2023. The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. in the vicinity of the 1200 block of Park Avenue. Bridgeport police officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of shots fired in the area.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered Goulbourne unresponsive on the ground outside of Scotch Bonnet Studio, a local content production
facility located at 22 Vine Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have stated that it appears Goulbourne was the intended victim of the shooting.
The Bridgeport Police Department's Detective Bureau is actively investigating the homicide. At this time, no information has been released to the public regarding any potential suspects or arrests in connection with the case. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and contact the Bridgeport Police Department.
