In the late summer of 2023, a violent encounter in Bridgeport, Connecticut, resulted in the death of 21-year-old Travis Bush Jr., a Black male. On the evening of September 12th, what began as an altercation escalated into a fatal exchange of gunfire. Both Bush and another man, 30-year-old Wilburt B. Jordan Jr., were killed in what authorities have described as a double shooting where the two men shot each other.
