In the early afternoon of October 9, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at the intersection of Ferry and Wolcott streets in New Haven, Connecticut, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Niygere Wicker, a 21-year-old Black / African American male, was riding his dirt bike when the attack occurred. Eyewitnesses reported a vehicle seemingly pursuing him before the fatal shots were fired.
