On June 16, 2023, 15-year-old Lily Silva-Lopez was fatally shot in her home in Greeley, Colorado. The incident involved her 16-year-old ex-boyfriend, Jovanni Sirio-Cardona, who broke into her home through her bedroom window. According to the arrest affidavit, Silva-Lopez's 13-year-old brother was present and witnessed the events.
