Elise was born on January 23, 1988, in Denver, Colorado, to Valerie Ann Gomez and Rudolpho “Rudy” Mark Ruybal.

The investigation into her death quickly led authorities to a suspect, Joseph Michael Mladenik, a 49-year-old from Cheyenne, Wyoming. However, he was later found deceased in Laramie, Wyoming, from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities are investigating the case as a possible domestic violence murder-suicide and have assured the public that there is no ongoing danger to the community.
Elise’s passing has left a profound void in the lives of her family and friends. She is survived by her son, her mother Valerie, her sister Elena Serrano, and her nephews, Luca and Rudy, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. She is remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
