In the summer of 1996, the life of a young woman who had only recently moved to Pueblo, Colorado, came to a tragic and mysterious end. Twenty-year-old Isabel Eva Martinez, a Hispanic female, was found deceased on July 26 in the North Side apartment she shared with her 23-year-old boyfriend, Michael Torres. The cause of her death was a devastating wound to the left side of her head, inflicted by a sawed-off shotgun.
