Donna Reitmeyer, a 40-year-old white woman and mother of three, was found dead on June 11, 1990, in St. Louis, Missouri. Her nude, decomposed body was discovered inside a rubber trash can on a sidewalk near Gasconade Street and South Broadway. Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the medical examiner was unable to determine the exact cause of death. Reitmeyer had been involved in sex work and struggled with drug addiction.
