On November 24, 1985, the nude body of 21-year-old Lenora Christina Cortez was discovered along the side of US Highway 285 near Light Lane in Conifer, Colorado. A motorist found her remains, and Cortez was later identified by her family. Lenora was described as a transient without a permanent residence, and authorities believe she may have been in the area when the crime occurred.
