In the early summer of 1978, the quiet mountain community of Conifer, Colorado, was shaken by a grim discovery. On June 11, the body of 17-year-old Jeanette Louise Baca, a white female, was found by a pair of hikers. Her nude remains had been discarded down a 10-foot embankment off of Foxton Road, about 6.7 miles south of US Highway 285.
