In the early hours of a summer morning at Lake Pueblo State Park, a dispute turned deadly, leaving two men from Pueblo fatally shot. The incident, which unfolded just after midnight on June 21, 2024, near Sailboard Beach, claimed the life of 20-year-old Trevion Lucas. Another Pueblo resident, 29-year-old Dustyn Courtney, also died in the shooting. The two men were near the dam on the north side of the lake where a group had been fishing from the shore.
