In the pre-dawn hours of January 31, 2021, Pueblo police were called to the parking lot of the Casa Del Sol Apartments on Constitution Road, where they found Ronald Harman, 31, male, lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner’s office, which later confirmed the death and his age.
Officers had been dispatched around 3:22 a.m. after reports of shots fired.
Early information gathered by investigators indicated there had been a disturbance moments before the shooting, and detectives began treating the case as a homicide as they processed the scene outside the apartment complex.
Eighteen months later, on August 2–3, 2022, police announced that Deshawn Adriance Doyle, then 27, had been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Harman’s killing. According to authorities, Doyle was already incarcerated on unrelated felony matters and was served with the new charges while in the custody of the Colorado Department of Corrections. News outlets and official releases identified Harman by name and tied Doyle to the January 31, 2021 shooting at the Casa Del Sol Apartments. No public records from these sources indicate a subsequent conviction in this case.
