In the early evening of October 20, 2024, a sense of normalcy at Lisbon Park in Denver's Green Valley Ranch neighborhood was shattered by an act of sudden violence. Seventeen-year-old Edwin Sanchez, a Hispanic male, was with a friend in the park's parking lot, a space adjacent to Green Valley Elementary School, when their lives were irrevocably altered.
