On October 20, 2024, 17-year-old Edwin Sanchez was fatally shot at Lisbon Park in the Gateway - Green Valley Ranch neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. when Sanchez and a friend were in the parking lot of the park, which is located at 4000 Kirk Street and is adjacent to Green Valley Elementary School.
