On October 13, 2023, Marvin Gabriel Jenkins, Jr., a 21-year-old resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, was fatally shot along with his father, Marvin Jenkins Sr., 47. The incident occurred near the intersection of Mabelvale Drive and Mabelvale Circle, approximately 1 1/2 miles west of the South University Avenue interchange with Interstate 30 in Little Rock.
