In the early hours of Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, a grim discovery was made on Highway 79 in Jefferson County, Arkansas. Kavon White, a 31-year-old Black/African American male from the Little Rock area, was found inside a vehicle, having suffered from apparent gunshot wounds. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a call around 12:30 a.m. directing them to the 9200 block of the highway, where the tragic scene unfolded.
