On June 17, 2024, at approximately 8:30 AM, officers from the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a reported shooting at 2517 S. Cherry, the location of Cherry St. Liquor in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Upon arrival, they found 44-year-old Mary Christopher in a black passenger car in the parking lot. Mary had apparent gunshot wounds and was unresponsive; she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
