Upon arrival, they found three victims, each suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victims, including Baker, a woman, and a teenage girl, were transported to area
hospitals. Despite medical efforts, Torrio Baker Jr. succumbed to his injuries. The woman is currently listed in critical condition, while the teenage girl is in stable condition and expected to recover.
The shooting was witnessed by a local resident, Glen Starkey, who described hearing several gunshots and seeing a car ram into a house across the street. Starkey, a veteran, expressed his distress over the incident, highlighting the contrast between his service to the country and the violence he experienced in his own neighborhood.
The North Little Rock Police Department has upgraded the investigation to a homicide and is actively assessing the scene for evidence and conducting interviews.
