On December 11, 2023, Jennifer Conley, a 49-year-old resident of Hedgesville, West Virginia, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the WVU Medicine Spring Mills Medical Office Building in Spring Mills, West Virginia. The incident occurred in the morning, around 8:30 a.m., when the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department received a call reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found Jennifer Conley unresponsive in the parking lot, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
