On June 4, 2023, a shooting incident occurred in Salt Lake City, Utah, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Halapaini Latu Moala. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning, around 4 a.m., at 60 West Market Street in the city’s entertainment district. Multiple calls were made to 911, and the first officer from the Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD) arrived within a minute of the call.
