In the early morning hours of June 4, 2023, the life of 22-year-old Halapaini Latu Moala, a Tongan man, was tragically cut short in Salt Lake City, Utah. The evening had been spent at an after-party at the New Yorker Social Club. As the club was closing around 4:00 a.m., a confrontation that began with stares escalated with deadly speed.
