Emily Carrington Thomas, a 44-year-old resident of Kaysville, Utah, was found dead on December 7, 2023, in Morgan County. The incident occurred when a motorist reported a vehicle parked on the side of the road near East Canyon Reservoir at 5:24 p.m. The motorist observed that the vehicle was occupied by two people, with one of them possessing a "long gun".
